Smith-Petersen Osteotome
8″ (20.0 cm)?Smith Peterson Osteotome is an ideal instrument for use in neurosurgical and other procedures that require manipulation of bone. This osteotome features a smooth barrel shaped handle that is easy to grip. Additionally it features a wide, flat handle end that can be struck with a hammer or mallet to drive the chisel shaped end with increased force. This instrument can be used to cut, scrape or shave bone to increase access to the surgical field or simply for reshaping. This osteotome is available seven sizes ranging from 6.0 mm to 32.0 mm and in either a straight or curved profile making it useful in a wide range of surgical procedures including craniotomies.
